Steering Committee Meeting 1

On 27 June 2016, the first  Steering Committee Meeting of the Twinning project “Improvement of Quality of the National Cancer Screening Programmes Implementation” took place in the Ministry of Health. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the activities undertaken during the first quarter of the project implementation covering the period from 2 March to 1 June 2016, and to develop a work plan for the following quarter.The meeting was opened by Mr. Ranko Stevanovic, Project Leader and acting director of the Croatian Institute of Public Health, after which the MS project leader g. Narimantas Samalavičius welcomed the participants. The Resident Twinning  Advisor g. Giedrius Vanagas presented the information on the activities performed during this reporting period. The RTA reported that the project activities during this period were carried out mostly according to plan, with only minor delays. G. Vanagas expressed satisfaction with  cooperation with the institutions of the beneficiary country; Ministry of Health and the Croatian Institute of Public Health. G. Vanagas informed the participants about the initiative of signing a declaration on the implementation of national screening programmes, which was launched in the framework of the Twinning project and written by the Croatian Institute of Public Health.
