Steering Committee Meeting 2

On 3 October 2016, the second Steering Committee Meeting of the Twinning project “Improvement of Quality of the National Cancer Screening Programmes Implementation” took place in the Croatian Institute of Public health. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the activities undertaken during the second quarter of the project implementation covering the period from 2 June to 1 September 2016, and to develop a work plan for the following quarter.

Ms. Dinka Nakić, BC Project Leader, opened the 2nd PSC meeting of the Twinning Project and welcomed colleagues from Lithuania, CFCA, Ministry of Health, Croatian Institute of Public Health and Ministry of Regional Development. Ms. Nakić welcomed the participants and stated how the cooperation until now had been very successful. MS Project Leader, Mr. Narimantas Samalavičius, welcomed the participants and stated that the project is already at the second half and that he hoped it would continue to go well until the end.

The Resident Twinning Advisor g. Giedrius Vanagas presented  information on the activities performed during this reporting period. The RTA reported that the project activities during this period were carried out according to plan. Mr. Vanagas announced activities from Components 4 and 5 for October, November and December. The last mission of the third quarter is Training of Trainers with the number of participants being around 30 or 40. Regional trainings within Activities 4.3 and 4.5 are planned to be held in Zagreb, Osijek, Rijeka and Split.

G. Vanagas expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with the new BC Project leader Ms. Dinka Nakić, and concluded the meeting by praising the cooperation with BC institutions and Slovenian partners and experts.
